Standard Dock

While there are many high-tech boat docks on the market, many people prefer a standard dock without all the fuss. Nevertheless, that does not mean that you will not enjoy many standard features, as well as excellent optional items.

For example, consider the Classic Dock. With this dock, you are buying a boat system that looks great and has a flexible layout. Constructed as a post and plank dock, it also features two optional wheel kits. The nice thing is that to set the dock up, you will find the process to be very quick and with minimal effort. For this reason, the Classic Dock is a very popular choice among boaters.

When you get ready to set the dock up, you will find it only takes a one-half inh wrench and about 10 minutes. If you need to, you can adjust the support poles to the right depth simply by turning the bolt. Additionally, if you need to streamline the appearance of the poles, they can be cut flush or below the deck. Even the 4 x 4-foot decking sections are designed specifically to go into place without fasteners.

Best of all, this type of boat dock needs very little maintenance, if any at all. Because its frame is made from all-aluminum that is very rugged, and comes with corrosion resistant support poles, pads, and decking, you have nothing to worry about except years of enjoyment in your boat on the water. Some of the basics would include:
  • Frame Design - Again, the design is durable and strong, consisting of a center support and two crossbars
  • Along with so many corrosion resistant features, you will even find that the nuts and bolts are corrosion resistant
  • Accessories are available to include bumpers, ladders, benches, ramps, storage boxes, rubber post caps, dock section end caps, mud augers for more stability on soft bottoms, and so on
You will even have your say in the type of decking you want on your dock, which includes:
  • QT Powder Coated All-Aluminum The finish is baked on, which provides a great nonskid surface. Also corrosion resistant, this decking is very lightweight. Finally, the strength is unmatched and the material designed to absorb sound.
  • Cedar is always a favorite choice in that it is naturally weather resistant, attractive, and very durable. Then, to provide solid footing when wet, it is designed with 5/4-inch radiused smooth planks.
